The training course „NGN Protocols“ covers the structure of a next generation telecommunication network including the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and the protocols used at the various interfaces. In addition test methods are presented, which support an end-to-end quality of service for the interworking of ISDN/ISUP and IP-based networks.
The participants benefit for their practical work from the presentation of a real-life SIP protocol environment implementation and SIP Telefone sets and softphones. SIP procedures are traced and analyzed in detail. Softswitch behaviour is explained using real-life MEGACOSIP and MEGACO-BICC–traces.
Course target:
The participants understand the architecture and structure alternatives of an NGN. Above this they know the protocols available at next generation network elements including the IP-Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and they know the measurement methods of these protocols from real-life examples and practical demonstrations.
Traget group:
Mobile network and metro network operators, network planners, service providers and acceptance test personnel.
Duration: 3 days incl. protcol praxis demonstrations
